Steps in Costa Rica

When your legalized or apostilled documents are in Costa Rica you will take them to us so we can submit them before the Immigration Department along with:

  • Official Translation of all documents in CR.

  • Formal Request issued by the attorney and signed by the requestors.

  •  Passport pictures facing front with a white background.

  • Sworn Statement regarding the income to be brought into CR

  • Filiation Form

  • Registration before the Consulate/Embassy of origin in Costa Rica

  • Fingerprinting at the Ministry of Public Security (1 more passport picture required)

  • 2 Complete copies of your passport, including all the pages (even if they are blank) after your last entry in CR.

We will complete all of these requirements for you and take you to the necessary offices when necessary.

Please bear in mind that documents have to be submitted within the period of the entry stamp in your passport. Documents are good for 6 months, unless otherwise indicated by the issuing authorities. This term counts from issuance date by the official authorities (not the apostilles, which are granted afterwards). This means they have to be newly issued. The originally issued ones will not work.
